Inflammation is a localized physical condition in which the body can become red, swollen, hot, and often painful - especially as a reaction to injury or infection. This is normal and needed in times of a broken bone or fighting a cold or flu. 

However, chronic inflammation is plaguing our society and is a red flag. It is a slow, silent disturbance that never shuts off. It is something you can feel inside. Whether it's a bloated feeling all over or painful muscular disturbances, this is a warning sign that your health is in hot water. 

Chronic inflammation is involved with heavy-hitting illnesses that may be the root cause of allergies, diabetes, heart disease, cancer, depression, and more. It all starts with your microbiota (your gut health) which is a result of diet, lack of exercise, pollution, and stress. But, diet is the most crucial of all. This is why you need to know what you're putting into your body if you want to feel good and stay healthy.

While the market trend is focused on "natural" and "organic" foods, nutrition fact labels still need to be read. Get familiar with ingredients before buying. If you don't understand certain ingredients, don't buy the product. Many packaged foods that are labeled healthy, natural, or organic may still contain harmful chemical substances that cause inflammation and chronic illnesses. Learn more by reading my article below.
